House Publishers: How long have you been publishing with Custom
House?
Brad Korb: We started working with you in April 2003. Our first
edition was in May 2003.
CHP: Which stories do you position on the front cover?
BK: Every other month we do a story involving real estate. On the
other, we do stories that we think might be of interest, including
recycling, safety and school information.
CHP: How many customized pages do you substitute into your
paper?
BK: We have at least four. Every month depends on what is submitted
to us by community organizations in our city, including Boy Scouts,
Burbank Temporary Aid Center and Burbank Tournament of Roses.
CHP: Describe the content you include to ensure your publication
is of interest to your community.
BK: We ask different organizations for material. Media City Dance,
Burbank City for free events, Burbank Recycling.
CHP: Which businesses have appeared in your paper?
BK: Lender, title, termite and flooring.
CHP: Describe some of the community feedback you've received.

CHP: Have you attained any direct listings as a result of
publishing "Burbank Bulletin?"
BK: Yes, we have had listings as a direct result of the publication.
However, we use it as a tool to generate leads. On average we generate
over 175 leads a month. Also, we have found that the magazine is
not like a newspaper where they read it and throw it away!! It actually
stays in their homes.
